Amanda Elizabeth B. VARNELL

Her husband, William, died about 1854.  About 1857 Amanda and the children went to TX and settled on Buffalo Creek near the Freeston and Leon County line, near her brother, mother and sister.

Mary A. E. RADFORD

She was originally buried at Varnell Cemetery in Freestone Co, but was recently (abt 2001) relocated to near the Old Zion Cemetery in Freestone Co, TX.


John C. MCLEMORE

Living with his half-sister, Sarah Fortson Mclemore in 1860.


James Manon GORE

He is on the South Carolina Roster for the American Revolution. Beginning on May 8, 1780 he served as an ensign under Lt. Col. Joseph Brown and Col John Winn. From Mar 26, 1781, he served as a lieutenant, and from Apr 24, 1781 he served as a captain of horse under Col. Richard Winn. A.A.2985; A.A.2986; O337.
